Reflection within the Teaching-Learning Exchange

When Melissa shares applications of e-Portfolios facilitating Assessment "Of' and 'For" learning her points are brilliantly original and engaging. She incorporates learning inside the classroom and throughout the student's life. Her concept of Higher-Order Thinking dynamically defines Reflection as an 'a-ha' moment.

After listening to Melissa and reading Pink's "Motivation" I encourage my teacher candidates to shift from Performance Standards to Learning Standards so we all find our selves enthusiastically responding, " a-ha! I never thought of that" rather than "Correct."
