The Essential ePortfolio: A Comprehensive Overview

This Monday afternoon session is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of eportfolios. This workshop is great for campuses who want to get started with eportfolios, but is also perfect for eportfolio professionals who want to go beyond their area of eportfolio expertise, expanding their knowledge to further eportfolio implementation on their campuses. Facilitated by Wende Garrison, The Essential ePortfolio will also bring in several nationally renowned eportfolio experts in each of the five topic areas to share resources and answer questions from workshop attendees.

This 1 pm to 4:30 pm workshop will cover the core eportfolio topics:

  • Making the Connection (Reflection/Integrative Thinking, Learning, Performing, Scaffolding, Pedagogy)
  • Closing the Loop (Assessment: Individualized Grading/Department, Program, and Institutional)
  • Choosing the Tool (Technology)
  • Building a Team (Training: For Faculty and Staff/For Students)
  • Putting Down Roots (Institutionalization/Buy-in)

About Wende Garrison

Wende Garrison got her bachelors and masters from Portland State University in Film & Television and Rhetoric & Composition. After she left Portland State, Wende joined the Association of American Colleges and Universities where she ran the VALUE Initiative.
