The Essential ePortfolio

AAEEBL, July 16, 2012

Facilitated by Wende Garrison

The July AAEEBL conference is one of the premier eportfolio community events!  Every summer, eportfolio professionals from all over the world converge on Boston for four days of sharing tips, inspiring one another, and asking the big questions.

In 2012, AAEEBL attendees can register for a Monday afternoon session designed to provide a comprehensive overview of eportfolios.  Great for campuses who want to get started with eportfolios, but also perfect for eportfolio professionals who want to go beyond the corner of eportfolios they have expertise with, expanding their knowledge to further eportfolios on their campuses.

This 1 pm to 4:30 pm workshop will cover the core eportfolio topics:
  • Making the Connection (Reflection/Integrative Thinking, Learning, Performing, Scaffolding, Pedagogy)
  • Closing the Loop  (Assessment:  Individualized Grading/Department, Program, and Institutional)
  • Choosing the Tool (Technology)
  • Building a Team (Training:  For Faculty and Staff/For Students)
  • Putting Down Roots (Institutionalization/Buy-in)
Facilitated by Wende Garrison, The Essential Eportfolio will also bring in experts in each of the five topic areas to answer questions and share resources with workshop attendees.

To attend, you must register.  Registration will be open in March 2012, and more information will be posted at that time.  Meanwhile, you can find more information at the 2012 Annual Conference landing page or by sending an email to Judy Williamson Batson.
