AAC&U and AAEEBL to Sponsor ePortfolio Forum on January 28, 2012

The Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) and the Association for Authentic, Experiential and Evidence‑Based Learning (AAEEBL) invite you to participate in “The E-Portfolio Forum:  Reclaiming a Focus on Learning.”

The ePortfolio Forum, held in conjunction with AAC&U’s 2012 Annual Meeting, is scheduled for 8:15 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, January 28.  All events will be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington, DC.

The Forum will offer a highly interactive set of sessions, including keynote presentations:  “A Stronger Prescription: Breaking the Spell of Courses, Credits, and Grades” (David Shupe,  eLumen Collaborative); “Getting There From Here: Holistic Approaches for ePortfolio Adoption” (C. Edward Watson, Virginia Tech CIDER, and International Journal of ePortfolio); and “The Inevitable Evolution of Higher Education: Eportfolios, the Education Leadership Commons, and an Educational Positioning System” (William Graves, SunGard Higher Education).

In addition to brief overview sessions of the state of the field, the day-long forum will focus on three dimensions of eportfolio practice:
  • engagement and integrative learning;
  • outcomes and assessment; and
  • issues of institutional support.
The full program of events, and information on how to register, is available online.  For more information, please contact meetings@aacu.org
